This part of IEC 61347 specifies particular safety requirements for electronic controlgear for use on d.c. supplies up to 250 V and a.c. supplies up to 1 000 V at 50 Hz or 60 Hz and at an output frequency which can deviate from the supply frequency, associated with LED modules.

The text of document 34C/730/FDIS, future edition 1 of IEC 61347-2-13, prepared by SC 34C, Auxiliaries
for lamps, of IEC TC 34, Lamps and related equipment, was submitted to the IEC-CENELEC parallel vote
and was approved by CENELEC as EN 61347-2-13 on 2006-07-01.
This standard shall be used in conjunction with EN 61347-1:2001.
In this standard, the following print types are used:
– requirements: in roman type;
– test specifications: in italic type;
– notes: in smaller roman type;
The following dates were fixed:
– latest date by which the EN has to be implemented
at national level by publication of an identical
(dop) 2007-04-01
national standard or by endorsement
– latest date by which the national standards conflicting
(dow) 2009-07-01
with the EN have to be withdrawn
Annex ZA has been added by CENELEC.
