Lightning Protection Components (LPC) - Part 2: Requirements for conductors and earth electrodes
This European Standard specifies the requirements and tests for – metallic conductors (other than "natural" conductors) that form part of the air termination system and down conductors, – metallic earth electrodes that form part of the earth termination system. Lightning protection components (LPC) may also be suitable for use in hazardous atmospheres. Regard should then be taken of the extra requirements necessary for the components to be installed in such conditions.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Anforderungen und Prüfungen fest für – metallene Leiter (andere als „natürliche“ Leiter), die den Teil der Fangeinrichtung und der Ableitung bilden, – metallene Erder, die den Teil der Erdungsanlage bilden. Blitzschutzbauteile können auch für die Anwendung in gefährlichen Atmosphären geeignet sein. Es sollten dann die besonderen Anforderungen, die für den Einbau dieser Bauteile unter solchen Bedingungen notwendig sind, beachtet werden.

Cette norme européenne spécifie les exigences et les essais pour: – les conducteurs métalliques (autres que les conducteurs « naturels ») qui font partie du dispositif de capture et des conducteurs de descente, – les électrodes de terre métalliques qui font partie de la prise de terre. Les composants de protection contre la foudre CPF peuvent aussi être employés dans des atmosphères dangereuses. Dans ce cas, il convient de veiller à ce que les caractéristiques des composants soient en adéquation avec ces conditions.

V tem evropskem standardu so določene zahteve in preskusi za
– kovinske vodnike (razen "naravnih" vodnikov), ki tvorijo del lovilnega in odvodnega sistema,
– kovinska ozemljila, ki tvorijo del ozemljilnega sistema.
Elementi za zaščito pred strelo (LPC) so lahko primerni tudi za uporabo v nevarnih atmosferah. V tem primeru naj se upoštevajo posebne zahteve, ki morajo biti izpolnjene pri vgradnji teh elementov v takšne razmere.

protection.
It includes the texts of EN 50164-2:2002 + A1:2006 and a draft amendment (prA2) which was
submitted to the Unique Acceptance Procedure. The combined texts were approved by CENELEC as
EN 50164-2 on 2008-04-01.
This European Standard supersedes EN 50164-2:2002 + A1:2006.
The following dates were fixed:
– latest date by which the EN has to be implemented
at national level by publication of an identical
national standard or by endorsement (dop) 2009-04-01

Diese Europäische Norm wurde von dem Technischen Komitee CENELEC/TC 81X „Blitzschutz“ ausgearbeitet.
Sie enthält die Texte von EN 50164-2:2002 + A1:2006 und des Entwurfs der Änderung prA2 der dem
Einstufigen Annahmeverfahren unterzogen wurde. Die konsolidierten Texte wurden von CENELEC am
2008-04-01 als EN 50164-2 angenommen.
Diese Europäische Norm ersetzt EN 50164-2:2002 + A1:2006.

Lightning Protection Components (LPC) – Part 2: Requirements for conductors and earth electrodes, 2008.
NACIONALNI PREDGOVOR
Evropski standard EN 50164-2:2008 je pripravil tehnični odbor Evropskega komiteja za standardizacijo
v elektrotehniki CLC/TC 81X Lightning protection – Zaščita pred strelo.
Slovenski standard SIST 50164-2:2008 je prevod angleškega besedila EN 50164-2:2008. Slovensko
izdajo je pripravil tehnični odbor SIST/TC STZ Zaščita pred delovanjem strele. V primeru spora glede
besedila slovenskega prevoda je odločilen izvirni evropski standard v angleškem jeziku.
Odločitev za privzem tega standarda po metodi ponatisa je dne 24. oktobra 2008 sprejel tehnični
odbor SIST/TC STZ Zaščita pred delovanjem strele.

Foreword
This draft amendment to the European Standard EN 50164-2:2002 was prepared by the Technical
Committee CENELEC TC 81X, Lightning protection. It is submitted to the Unique Acceptance Procedure.
The following dates are proposed:
– latest date by which the existence of the amendment
has to be announced at national level (doa) dor + 6 months
– latest date by which the amendment has to be implemented
at national level by publication of an identical
national standard or by endorsement (dop) dor + 12 months
– latest date by which the national standards conflicting
with the amendment have to be withdrawn (dow) dor + 36 months
(to be confirmed or
modified when voting)
