Low-voltage electrical installations - Part 7-721: Requirements for special installations or locations - Electrical installations in caravans and motor caravans

The particular requirements of this part of IEC 60364 apply to the electrical installation of caravans and motor caravans. They modify or replace certain of the general requirements in Parts 1 to 6 of IEC 60364. They apply to those electrical circuits and equipment intended for the use of the caravan for habitation purposes. They do not apply to those electrical circuits and equipment for automotive purposes. They do not apply to the electrical installations of mobile homes, residential park homes and transportable units.

Les exigences particulières de la présente partie s'appliquent aux installations électriques des caravanes ou caravanes à moteur. Elles complètent, modifient ou remplacent certaines des exigences générales contenues dans les Parties 1 à 6 de la CEI 60364. Elles s'appliquent aux circuits et matériels électriques destinés à être utilisés dans les caravanes à des fins de logement. Elles ne s'appliquent pas aux circuits et matériels électriques destinés à la propulsion. Elles ne s'appliquent pas aux installations électriques intérieures des maisons d'habitation mobiles et caravanes résidentielles fixes ou des unités transportables.

Foreword
The text of the International Standard IEC 60364-7-721:2007, prepared by IEC TC 64, Electrical
installations and protection against electric shock, together with common modifications prepared by
SC 64A, Protection against electric shock, of Technical Committee CENELEC TC 64, Electrical
installations and protection against electric shock, was submitted to the formal vote and was approved by
CENELEC as HD 60364-7-721 on 2009-04-01.
This Harmonization Document supersedes HD 384.7.754 S1:2005.
In this standard, the common modifications to the International Standard are indicated by a vertical line in
the left margin of the text.
The following dates were fixed:
– latest date by which the existence of the HD (doa) 2009-10-01
has to be announced at national level
– latest date by which the HD has to be implemented (dop) 2010-04-01
at national level by publication of a harmonized
national standard or by endorsement
– latest date by which the national standards conflicting (dow) 2012-04-01
with the HD have to be withdrawn
For this Harmonization Document the informative Annex D of IEC 60364-7-721:2007 shall be disregarded
and has been replaced by the normative Annex ZA, Special national conditions.
Annex ZA has been added by CENELEC.
