IEC 62386-104:2019 The IEC 62386 series specifies a bus system for control by digital signals of electronic lighting equipment. This part of IEC 62386 applies to a system with wireless or alternative wired communication between its units, instead of a wired bus system, where the meaning of “wireless or alternative wired communication”, or in short “telecommunication”, is any type of communication network different from the wired system described in IEC 62386-101. Where the electronic lighting equipment is covered by the scope of IEC 61347 (all parts), it is in line with the requirements of IEC 61347 (all parts), with the addition of DC supplies.

IEC 62386-104:2019 La série IEC 62386 spécifie un réseau de bus pour la commande par des signaux numériques des appareils d'éclairage électroniques. La présente partie de l'IEC 62386 s'applique à un système équipé d'une communication sans fil ou filaire alternative entre ses unités, plutôt qu'à un réseau de bus filaire, où la signification de "communication sans fil ou filaire alternative", abrégée en "télécommunication", se réfère à tout type de réseau de communication autre que le réseau filaire décrit dans l'IEC 62386-101. Lorsque les appareils d'éclairage électroniques relèvent du domaine d'application de l'IEC 61347 (toutes les parties), ils sont conformes aux exigences de l'IEC 61347 (toutes les parties) par l'ajout d'alimentations en courant continu.

Skupina standardov IEC 62386 določa sistem vodil za krmiljenje elektronske opreme za razsvetljavo z digitalnimi signali. Ta del standarda IEC 62386 se uporablja za sistem z brezžično ali nadomestno žično komunikacijo med enotami, namesto za žični sistem vodil, pri čemer izraz »brezžična ali nadomestna žična komunikacija« oziroma »telekomunikacija« pomeni vsako vrsto komunikacijskega omrežja, ki se razlikuje od žičnega sistema, opisanega v standardu IEC 62386-101.

FOREWORD

1) The International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) is a worldwide organization for standardization comprising

all national electrotechnical committees (IEC National Committees). The object of IEC is to promote

international co-operation on all questions concerning standardization in the electrical and electronic fields. To

this end and in addition to other activities, IEC publishes International Standards, Technical Specifications,

Technical Reports, Publicly Available Specifications (PAS) and Guides (hereafter referred to as “IEC

Publication(s)”). Their preparation is entrusted to technical committees; any IEC National Committee interested

in the subject dealt with may participate in this preparatory work. International, governmental and non-

governmental organizations liaising with the IEC also participate in this preparation. IEC collaborates closely

with the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) in accordance with conditions determined by

agreement between the two organizations.

2) The formal decisions or agreements of IEC on technical matters express, as nearly as possible, an international

consensus of opinion on the relevant subjects since each technical committee has representation from all

interested IEC National Committees.

3) IEC Publications have the form of recommendations for international use and are accepted by IEC National

Committees in that sense. While all reasonable efforts are made to ensure that the technical content of IEC
