Ta evropski standard je povezan s standardom EN 50117-1 in ga je treba brati skupaj s to rodovno specifikacijo. Ta specifikacija velja za zunanje priključne kable v kabelskih razdelilnih sistemih, ki delujejo pri temperaturi med –40 °C in +70 °C 1) in pri frekvencah med 5 MHz in 3 000 MHz ter ustrezajo zahtevam standarda EN 50083.
