Small craft — Maximum load capacity

This document specifies the items included in the maximum load of small craft, without exceeding the limits set by other ISO standards for stability, freeboard, and flotation. It further sets requirements for seating and occupancy areas of crew members. Personal watercraft are excluded from the Scope of this document.

the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) Technical Committee CEN/TC 464, Small craft, in
accordance with the Agreement on technical cooperation between ISO and CEN (Vienna Agreement).
This second edition cancels and replaces the first edition (ISO 14946:2001), which has been technically
revised.
The main changes compared to the previous edition are as follows:
— in Clause 3, definitions have been updated, the occupancy area has been clarified and Figure 1 has
been added;
— in Clause 5, it has been clarified that the ballast in maximum load m does not include ballast for

La présente seconde édition annule et remplace la première édition (ISO 14946:2001), qui a fait l’objet
d’une révision technique.
Les principaux changements par rapport à l’édition précédente sont les suivants :
— à l'Article 3, les définitions ont été mises à jour, la zone d'occupation a été clarifiée et la Figure 1 a été
ajoutée;
— à l'Article 5, il a été clarifié que le lest en charge maximale m n'inclut pas le lest que le fabricant
ML
doit inclure pour être conforme à l' ISO 12217 (toutes les parties);
— l’Article 6 et l’Article 7 ont été ajoutés pour plus de clarté;
— à l'Article 8, la référence au manuel du propriétaire a été mise à jour.

— zone d’occupation clarifiée, et dessins ajoutés;
— définitions mises à jour;
— référence au manuel du propriétaire mise à jour;
— clarification que le lest inclus dans MML ne comprend pas le lest ajouté par le fabricant pour être
conforme à la 12217;
— clarification que l’équipement optionnel n’est pas compris dans l’Article 6.

Il n’est pas applicable aux motos aquatiques, couvertes par l’ISO 13590.
