ISO 23893-3:2013 specifies a method for measuring vitellogenin (Vtg) concentrations in a fish plasma sample employing an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method. It applies to fish that are sampled in the environment (fresh, estuarine or salt water) and to fish exposed to substances or effluents in a laboratory. The method is quantitative when using Vtg antibodies and a Vtg standard well characterized with the species of choice.

L'ISO 23893-3:2013 spécifie une méthode permettant de mesurer les concentrations de vitellogénine (Vtg) dans un échantillon de plasma de poisson en employant une technique ELISA (enzyme‑linked immunosorbent assay). Elle s'applique à des poissons prélevés dans l'environnement (eau douce, eau d'estuaire ou eau salée) et à des poissons exposés à des substances ou des effluents en laboratoire. La méthode est quantitative lorsqu'elle utilise des anticorps anti-Vtg et un étalon de Vtg bien caractérisé avec l'espèce considérée.

Ta del standarda ISO 23893 določa metodo za merjenje koncentracij vitelogenina (Vtg) v plazemskem vzorcu rib z uporabo encimskoimunske metode (ELISA). Uporablja se za ribe, ki se vzorčijo v okolju (sladka, rečna ali slana voda), in za ribe, ki so v laboratoriju izpostavljene snovem ali iztokom. Ta metoda je kvantitativna, če se uporabljajo protitelesa Vtg in standard Vtg, ki je pri izbranih vrstah zadostno opisan.
