Coil coated metals - Test methods - Part 13: Resistance to accelerated ageing by the use of heat

EN 13523-13 specifies the procedure for determining the behaviour of an organic coating on a metallic substrate when submitted to accelerated ageing by heating at a defined temperature for a defined period of time. It is not possible to test heat resistance in such a way as to control all possible conditions of use. The aim of this test is therefore to furnish the basic test method for the effect of heat. Special applications might require that properties other than those mentioned in this Part of EN 13523 be checked. The test(s) to be done should then be agreed between the interested parties.

Dieser Teil von EN 13523 legt das Verfahren zum Bestimmen des Verhaltens einer organischen Beschichtung auf einem metallischen Substrat (flache oder gebogene Probenkörper) fest, wenn sie einer beschleunigten Alterung durch Erwärmen bei einer definierten Temperatur für eine definierte Zeitspanne ausgesetzt wird.
Es ist nicht möglich, die Beständigkeit gegen Wärme so zu prüfen, dass alle möglichen Verwendungsbedingungen erfasst werden. Das Ziel dieser Prüfung ist es deshalb, das Grundprüfverfahren für die Auswirkung von Wärme zu bieten.
ANMERKUNG   Spezielle Anwendungen können verlangen, dass andere Eigenschaften als nach diesem Teil von EN 13523 zu prüfen sind. Die durchzuführende(n) Prüfung(en) sollte (sollten) dann zwischen den Vertragspartnern vereinbart werden.

La présente partie de l’EN 13523 décrit le mode opératoire permettant de déterminer le comportement d’un revêtement organique sur un subjectile métallique lorsqu'il est soumis à un vieillissement accéléré par chauffage à une température et pendant une durée définies.
Cette évaluation de la résistance à la chaleur ne permet pas de contrôler toutes les conditions d'utilisation possibles. L'objectif du présent essai est par conséquent de fournir une méthode d'essai de base quant aux effets de la chaleur.
NOTE   Des applications spécifiques peuvent exiger la vérification de propriétés autres que celles mentionnées dans la présente partie de l'EN 13523. Il convient alors que le ou les essais à effectuer fassent l'objet d'un accord entre les parties concernées.

Standard EN 13523-13 določa postopek za določanje obnašanja organske prevleke na kovinski podlagi, ko je podvržena pospešenemu staranju s konstantno povišano temperaturo za določen čas. Toplotne odpornosti ni mogoče preskusiti na način, da bi bili zajeti vsi mogoči pogoji uporabe. Zato je cilj tega preskusa pridobiti osnovno preskusno metodo za učinke toplote. Posebne aplikacije lahko zahtevajo preskus lastnosti, razen tistih, ki so navedene v tem delu standarda EN 13523. V tem primeru naj bi se za preskuse, ki jih je treba opraviti, med seboj dogovorili stranki.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by December 2014, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by December 2014.
