Aerospace series - Elements of electrical and optical connection - Test methods - Part 6317: Optical elements - Flammability

This standard specifies a method of verifying the suitability of materials used in optical connection elements (including permanent connections) and fibre optic couplers with respect to non-propagation of a flame, when exposed to a flame for a short period.
It shall be used together with EN 2591-100.

Diese Norm legt die Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Wasseraufnahme von strukturellen Expansionsklebstoffen fest, wenn diese hoher Feuchte ausgesetzt oder in Wasser eingetaucht werden.

La présente norme prescrit une méthode pour vérifier l'aptitude d'organes de connexion optique (y compris les connexions permanentes) et de coupleurs a fibre optique a ne pas propager la flamme lorsqu'ils sont soumis a celle-ci pendant une courte durée.
Elle doit etre utilisée conjointement avec EN 2591-100.
