ETSIETSIEN301273V1.1.3(2000-01)61ScopeThepresentdocumentdefinesthestage1servicedescriptionforphase2oftheCTMservice.Stage1isanoverallservicedescription,primarilyfromtheservicesubscriber'sanduser'spointofview,butdoesnotdealwiththedetailsofthehumaninterfaceitself.Thepresentdocumentincludesinformationapplicabletonetworkoperatorsandterminal,switchanddatabasemanufacturers.ThepresentdocumentspecifiestherequirementswheretheserviceisprovidedtotheCTMuserviaatelecommunicationsnetworkthatiseitherthepan-EuropeanISDNoraPSTNasprovidedbyEuropeanpublictelecommunicationsoperators.Thepresentdocumentincludesinterworkingrequirementsforcaseswhereusersinacallarelocatedondifferentnetworks.TheprovisionoftheCTMserviceonmobilenetworksisoutsidethescopeofthepresentdocument.Thepresentdocumentcontainsthecorerequirementsforphase2oftheCTM.Aservicemaybeprovidedonthebasisofthesecorerequirementsalone.Thepresentdocumentalsodocumentssomeoptionalservicefeatureswhichmaybeusedtoenhancetheservice.Furthermore,additionalfunctionalitiesnotdocumentedinthepresentdocumentmaybeimplemented.Therequirementsofwhichareconsideredoutsideofthescopeofthepresentdocumentandconsequentlyoutsidethescopeofthecorrespondingstage2andstage3standards.Suchadditionalfunctionalitymaybeonanetwork-widebasis,orparticulartooneCTMuseroragroupofCTMusers.Suchadditionalfunctionalitydoesnotcompromiseconformancetothecorerequirementsoftheservice.Chargingprinciplesareoutsidethescopeofthepresentdocument,unlessspecificservicerequirementsarestated.TheserequirementsdealwiththeallocationofcertaincallchargestoparticularCTMusers.InteractionswithservicesandISDNsupplementaryservicesnotlistedinclauses8and9areoutsidethescopeofthepresentdocument.TheCTMserviceallowsusersofcordlessterminalstobemobilewithinandbetweennetworks.WhereradiocoverageisprovidedandthecordlessterminalhasappropriateaccessrightstheCTMuserisabletomakecallsfrom,andtoreceivecallsat,anylocationwithinthefixedpublicand/orprivatenetworks,andmaymovewithoutinterruptionofacallinprogress.Phase2oftheCTMserviceisapplicabletothetelephony3,1kHzteleservice(seeETS300111[3]).Phase2oftheCTMserviceisalsoapplicabletothespeechbearerservice(seeETS300109[1])andthe3,1kHzaudiobearerservice(seeETS300110[2]).Ifthepresentdocumentisapplicabletothestage2andstage3standardsforthephase2oftheCTMservice,wherethetextindicatesthestatusofarequirement(i.e.asstrictcommandorprohibition,asauthorizationleavingfreedom,asacapabilityorapossibility),thisshallbereflectedintherelevantstage2andstage3standards.Otherwise,thestatusofarequirementshallbereflectedintherelevantstandardsfortheunderlyingprotocols.Furthermore,conformancetothepresentdocumentiseithermetby:-conformingtothestage3standards;or-implicitlycoveredbyconformingtothestandardsfortheunderlyingprotocols,withthefieldofapplicationappropriatetotheequipmentbeingimplemented.Thereforenomethodoftestingisprovidedforthepresentdocument.SIST EN 301 273 V1.1.3:2003
