Gymnastic equipment - Parallel bars and combination asymmetric/parallel bars - Requirements and test methods including safety

This document specifies functional requirements (see Clause 3) and specific safety requirements in addition to the general safety requirements in EN 913 (see Clause 4), which is read in conjunction with this standard.
This document is applicable to two types of parallel bars (see Table 1) intended for use under supervision of a competent person.

Diese Europäische Norm legt funktionelle Anforderungen (siehe Abschnitt 3) und besondere sicherheitstechnische Anforderungen zusätzlich zu den allgemeinen Sicherheitsanforderungen nach EN 913 (siehe Abschnitt 4) fest, welche im Zusammenhang mit dieser Norm gelesen werden.
Diese Europäische Norm gilt für zwei Typen von Barren (siehe Tabelle 1), die zur Nutzung unter Aufsicht einer fachkundigen Person bestimmt sind.

Le présent document spécifie des exigences fonctionnelles (voir Article 4) et des exigences spécifiques de sécurité qui s’ajoutent aux exigences générales de sécurité spécifiées dans l’EN 913 (voir Article 5), qui est lue conjointement avec cette norme.
Le présent document s’applique à trois types de barres parallèles (voir Tableau 1) destinés à être utilisés sous la surveillance d’une personne compétente.

This document (EN 914:2020) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 136 “Sports,

playground and other recreational facilities and equipment”, the secretariat of which is held by DIN.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an

identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by November 2020, and conflicting national standards

shall be withdrawn at the latest by November 2020.
