Leather - Chemical, physical and mechanical and fastness test - Sampling location (ISO 2418:2017)

This document specifies the location of a laboratory sample within a piece of leather and the method of
labelling and marking the laboratory samples for future identification.
It is applicable to all types of leather derived from mammals irrespective of the tanning used.
It is not applicable to leathers derived from birds, fish, reptiles or furs.

ISO 2418:2017 spécifie l'emplacement d'un échantillon pour laboratoire à prélever sur une pièce de cuir et la méthode d'étiquetage et de marquage des échantillons en vue de leur identification ultérieure.
Elle est applicable à tous les types de cuirs de mammifères, quel que soit le mode de tannage utilisé.
Elle n'est pas applicable aux cuirs provenant d'oiseaux, de poissons, de reptiles ou d'animaux à fourrure.

Ta dokument določa mesto laboratorijskega vzorca v kosu usnja ter metodo za etiketiranje in označevanje laboratorijskih vzorcev za nadaljnjo identifikacijo.
Uporablja se za vse vrste usnja, pridobljenega iz kože sesalcev, ne glede na uporabljeno strojenje.
Ne uporablja se za usnje, pridobljeno iz kože ptic, rib ali plazilcev ali krzna.

This document (EN ISO 2418:2017) has been prepared by Technical Committee IULTCS "International
Union of Leather Technologists and Chemists Societies" in collaboration with Technical Committee
CEN/TC 289 “Leather” the secretariat of which is held by UNI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by August 2017, and conflicting national standards shall
be withdrawn at the latest by August 2017.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent

This document supersedes EN ISO 2418:2002.

1 Anwendungsbereich
Diese Internationale Norm legt die Entnahmestelle einer Laborprobe innerhalb eines Lederstücks sowie das
Verfahren der Beschilderung und Kennzeichnung der Laborproben für die zukünftige Identifizierung fest.
Sie gilt für alle Lederarten von Säugetieren ungeachtet der angewendeten Art der Gerbung.
Sie gilt nicht für Leder von Vögeln, Fischen, Reptilien oder Pelze.
