This document provides a means of classifying the performance of opening windows according to their strength in resisting, where appropriate, racking load, static torsion and their operating forces. Special aspects such as those of burglar resistance are not covered.

This European Standard was approved by CEN on 19 July 2020.

windows, shutters, building hardware and curtain walling”, the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an

identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by February 2021, and conflicting national standards

shall be withdrawn at the latest by February 2021.
