Windows - Classification of mechanical properties - Racking, torsion and operating forces

This document provides a means of classifying the performance of opening windows according to their strength in resisting, where appropriate, racking load, static torsion and their manual operating forces. Special aspects such as those of burglar resistance are not covered. 1)
1) Effects on other criteria, such as air permeability, are not addressed by EN 13115.

Dieses Dokument ist ein Hilfsmittel zur Klassifizierung des Leistungsvermögens von zu öffnenden Fenstern nach deren Widerstandsfähigkeit gegen, falls zutreffend, Vertikallasten (Verschiebung), statische Verwindung und deren manuelle Bedienkräfte. Besondere Aspekte, wie Einbruchhemmung, werden nicht behandelt.

Le présent document définit un moyen de classer la performance des fenêtres ouvrantes en fonction de leur résistance, lorsque cela est approprié, à un effort dû au contreventement, à une torsion statique et des efforts manuels nécessaires à leur manœuvre. Certains aspects, tels que ceux traitant de la résistance à l'effraction, ne sont pas couverts.1)
