High-voltage fuses -- Part 1: Current-limiting fuses

This standard establishes ergonomic data and their use in establishing temperature limit values for hot surfaces and in the assessment of the risks of burning.   This standard is applicable within the field of application of EN 292 to hot surfaces of machinery that are or can be touched during normal use.   This standard provides data concerning circumstances under which contact between bare skin and a hot surface does or may lead to burns. These data allow the assessment of risks of burning.  This standard also provides data to be used to establish temperature limit values for hot surfaces to protect against skin burns. These data can be used in the development of standards for specific machinery where as a result of a risk assessment temperature limits are required.  The data of this standard are applicable to surfaces of objects with relatively high thermal capacity compared with that of the skin of the human body.

Diese Norm legt ergonomische Daten fest und beschreibt ihre Anwendung bei der Festleung von Temperaturgrenzwerten für heisse Oberflächen und bei der Beurteilung von Verbrennungrisiken. Diese Norm ist im Anwendungsbereich der EN 292 auf heisse Oberflächen von Maschinen, die während ihrer bestimmungs- gemässen Verwendung berührt werden oder berührt werden können, anwendbar. Diese Norm stellt die Daten zur Verfügung, die angeben, unter welchen Bedingungen der Kontakt zwischen der unbedeckten Haut und einer heissen Oberfläche zu Verbrennungen führen kann.

La présente norme établit des données ergonomiques et leur utilisation en vue de fixer des températures limites des surfaces chaudes et d'évaluer les risques de brûlure. La présente norme s'applique aux surfaces chaudes des machines entrant dans le champ d'application de la EN 292 qui sont ou peuvent être touchés au cours de leur utilisation normale. La présente norme fournit des données relatives aux circonstances dans lesquelles un contact entre une surface chaude et la peau nue peut engendrer des brûlures. Ces données permettent d'apprécier les risques de brûlure.
