This part of EN 10226 specifies the requirements for thread form, dimensions, tolerances and designation for jointing pipe threads, sizes 1/16 to 6 inclusive, for joints made pressure tight by the mating of the threads. These threads are taper external (designated by R) and parallel internal (designated by Rp) and are intended for use with pipes suitable for threading and for valves, fittings or other pipeline equipments interconnected by threaded joints.

Dieser Teil von EN 10226 legt die Gewindeform, Maße, Toleranzen und Bezeichnung von Rohrgewinden für im Gewinde dichtende Verbindungen der Gewindegrößen 1/16 bis 6 fest. Die kegeligen Außengewinde (Kurzzeichen R) und die zylindrischen Innengewinde (Kurzzeichen Rp) sind für Rohre mit Gewinden für Armaturen, Fittings und sonstige Rohrleitungsteile, die geschraubt verbunden werden, bestimmt.

La présente partie du prEN 10226 indique les prescriptions relatives à la forme, aux dimensions, aux tolérances et à la désignation des filetages de tuyauterie pour raccordement avec étanchéité par le filetage, de dimensions de filetage 1/16 à 6 compris, pour les joints rendus étanches par les filetages en contact. Ces filetages sont des filetages extérieurs coniques et des filetages intérieurs cylindriques et s'appliquent aux tubes destinés à être filetés, à la robinetterie et aux raccords ou autres éléments de tuyauterie assemblés avec des joints filetés.
Il convient qu'un filetage étanche ou un composant de jointure appropriée soit appliquée sur le filetage pour assurer l'étanchéité de la jonction.
