Workplace atmospheres - Size fraction definitions for measurement of airborne particles

This standard defines sampling conventions for particle size fractions which are to be used in assessing the possible health effects resulting from inhalation of airborne particles in the workplace. They are derived from experimental data for healthy adults. Conventions are defined for the inhalable, thoracic and respirable fractions; extrathoracic and tracheobronchial conventions may be calculated from the defined conventions.

Diese Norm enthält Festlegungen für die Probenahme von Partikelgrössenfraktionen, welche zur Beurteilung möglicher Gesundheitheitsgefahren durch die Einatmung am Arbeitsplatz herangezogen werden sollen. Sie sind aus Untersuchungen an gesunden Erwachsenen abgeleitet. Konventionen werden festgelegt für die einatembare, die thorakale und die alveolengängige Fraktion; die extrathroakale und die tracheobronchiale Fraktion kann aus den festgelegten Fraktionen durch Rechnung ermittelt werden.

Atmospheres des lieux de travail - Définition des fractions de taille pour le mesurage des particules

Cette norme définit des conventions d'échantillonage pour les fractions de taille des particules qui sont destinées a etre utilisées pour évaluer les effets éventuels sur la santé dus a l'inhalation de particules en suspension dans l'air sur le lieu de travail. Elles proviennent de données expérimentales obtenues sur des adultes sains. On définit des conventions pour les fractions inhalable, thoracique et alvéolaire; les fractions extrathoraciques et trachéobronchique peuvent etre calculées a partir des conventions définies (la fraction inhalable est parfois appelée fraction inspirable).
