EN 6080:2022 - Aerospace series: Rivet, 100° normal flush head, close tolerance - Inch series (CEN). This European Standard (approved 30 May 2021, published Dec 2022) specifies the configuration, dimensions, tolerances and masses of solid rivets with a 100° normal flush head in the inch series for aerospace use. It supersedes EN 6080:2016 and includes requirements for materials, surface treatments, marking, oversize rivets and quality management.

Multipliers for mass conversion by material are provided.
  • Mechanical/technical spec: Aluminium rivets referenced to prEN 6104; titanium rivets to NASM5674 (finish exceptions noted); NiCu31 rivets to EN 2941 with specified shear strength range (340–407 MPa).
  • Identification and marking: Head marking for material and manufacturer (EN 2424 style F embossed/indented); oversize rivets have a triangular indent on the shank end. Head protrusion testing referenced to NAS9800.
  • Quality management: Manufacturers must operate under an approved aerospace production organization and maintain an aerospace QMS (e.g., EN 9100). Qualification/testing per EN 9133 (or agreed equivalent) is required.
