This document provides guidance around best practices for cleaning, disinfecting, and caring for the polyurethane covers for assistive
products for tissue integrity when lying down (APTIs) where the covers are designed to protect the internal components of the APTI
from damage. Adherence to this guide will extend the operational life of the APTI and its tissue integrity performance.
This document gives guidance for cleaning and disinfecting by manual means only.
This document is not intended to give guidance related to the efficacy of the cleaning and disinfection procedures.

Dieses Dokument enthält eine Anleitung rund um empfohlene Vorgehensweisen zur Reinigung, Desinfektion und Pflege der Polyurethanhüllen von Hilfsmitteln für die Dekubitusprophylaxe beim Liegen (APTI), wobei die Hüllen dazu bestimmt sind, die inneren Bestandteile des APTI vor Beschädigung zu schützen. Befolgung dieser Anleitung verlängert die Gebrauchsdauer des APTI und seine Leistung bei der Dekubitusprophylaxe.
Dieses Dokument gibt eine Anleitung zur Reinigung und Desinfektion allein mit manuellen Mitteln.
Dieses Dokument soll keine Anleitung bezüglich der Wirksamkeit der Reinigungs- und Desinfektionsverfahren geben.

Le présent document fournit des recommandations de bonnes pratiques pour le nettoyage, la désinfection et l'entretien des revêtements de protection en polyuréthane des produits d'assistance pour l'intégrité des tissus en position allongée (PAIT) lorsque ces revêtements de protection sont conçus pour protéger les composants internes des PAIT contre d'éventuels dommages. Le respect de ces recommandations permettra de prolonger la vie opérationnelle du PAIT et ses performances en matière d'intégrité des tissus.
Le présent document contient des recommandations uniquement pour le nettoyage et la désinfection par des moyens manuels.
Le présent document n'a pas vocation à proposer des recommandations relatives à l'efficacité des procédures de nettoyage et de désinfection.

Ta dokument vsebuje smernice glede dobre prakse čiščenja, razkuževanja in nege poliuretanskih prevlek za tehnične pripomočke za celovitost tkiv v ležečem položaju (APTI), pri čemer so prevleke zasnovane za zaščito notranjih komponent tehničnih pripomočkov za celovitost tkiv pred poškodbami. Upoštevanje teh smernic bo podaljšalo življenjsko dobo tehničnih pripomočkov za celovitost tkiv in njihovo povezanost s tkivom.

This Technical Specification (CEN/TS) was approved by CEN on 13 March 2022 for provisional application.

The period of validity of this CEN/TS is limited initially to three years. After two years the members of CEN will be requested to
submit their comments, particularly on the question whether the CEN/TS can be converted into a European Standard.

CEN members are required to announce the existence of this CEN/TS in the same way as for an EN and to make the CEN/TS
available promptly at national level in an appropriate form. It is permissible to keep conflicting national standards in force (in
parallel to the CEN/TS) until the final decision about the possible conversion of the CEN/TS into an EN is reached.
