Rubber hoses and hose assemblies - Rubber-covered spiral wire reinforced hydraulic type - Specification

This European Standard specifies requirements for four types of rubber-covered spiral wire reinforced hydraulic hoses and hose assemblies of nominal bore from 6 to 51: Types 4SP, 4SH, R12 and R13. They are all suitable for use with:
-   hydraulic fluids in accordance with ISO 6743 4 with the exception of HFD R, HFD S and HFD T at temperatures ranging from −40 °C to +100 °C for types 4SP and 4SH and −40 °C to +120 °C for types R12 and R13;
-   water based fluids at temperatures ranging from −40 °C to 70 °C;
-   water fluids at temperatures ranging from 0 °C to 70 °C.
This European Standard does not include requirements for end fittings. It is limited to the performance of hoses and hose assemblies.
NOTE 1   The hoses are not suitable for use with castor oil based nor ester based fluids.
NOTE 2   Hoses and hose assemblies are not be operated outside the limits of this standard.
NOTE 3   Requirements for hydraulic hoses for underground mining are standardised in a separate standard.

Gummischläuche und -schlauchleitungen - Hydraulikschläuche mit Drahtspiraleinlage - Spezifikation

Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen für vier Typen von Schläuchen und Schlauchleitungen mit Drahtspiraleinlagen vom Nenndurchmesser 6 bis 51 fest. Sie sind geeignet zur Verwendung mit:
-   Hydraulikflüssigkeiten nach ISO 6743-4 mit Ausnahme von HFD R, HFD S und HFD T in einem Temperaturbereich von – 40 °C bis + 100 °C bei den Typen 4SP und 4SH und – 40 °C bis + 120 °C bei den Typen R12 und R13;
-   wässrigen Flüssigkeiten in einem Temperaturbereich von – 40 °C bis + 70 °C;
-   Wasser in einem Temperaturbereich von 0 °C bis + 70 °C.
Die Norm enthält keine Anforderungen an die Armaturen. Sie beschränkt sich auf die Leistungsfähigkeit der Schläuche und Schlauchleitungen.
ANMERKUNG 1   Die Schläuche sind für Flüssigkeiten auf Rizinusöl- oder Esterbasis nicht geeignet.
ANMERKUNG 2   Die Schläuche und Schlauchleitungen sollten nicht außerhalb der Grenzen dieser Norm verwendet werden.
ANMERKUNG 3   Anforderungen an Hydraulikschläuche für den untertägigen Bergbau sind in separaten Normen genormt.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les exigences pour quatre types de tuyaux et flexibles revêtus de caoutchouc, renforcés par des fils métalliques en spirale, d’alésage nominal de 6 à 51 : Types 4SP, 4SH, R12 et R13. Ils sont destinés à être utilisés avec :
-   les fluides hydrauliques conformes à l’EN ISO 6743-4 à l’exception des HFD R, HFD S et HFD T, dans une plage de températures de -40 ˚C à +100 ˚C pour les types 4SP et 4SH, et de -40 ˚C à +120 ˚C pour les types R12 et R13 ;
-   les fluides aqueux dans une plage de températures de -40 ˚C à 70 ˚C ;
-   l’eau dans une plage de températures de 0 ˚C à 70 ˚C.
La présente Norme européenne ne contient pas d'exigences relatives aux extrémités de raccordement. Elle se limite aux performances des tuyaux et flexibles.

Gumene cevi in cevni priključki - S spiralnim gumiranim jeklenim kordom ojačene hidravlične cevi - Specifikacija (vključno s popravkom AC)

Ta mednarodni standard določa zahteve za štiri vrste s spiralnim gumiranim jeklenim kordom ojačenih hidravličnih cevi in cevnih priključkov z nominalnim premerom 6–51: 4SP, 4SH, R12 in R13. Primerne so za uporabo s/z:
–   hidravličnimi tekočinami v skladu s standardom ISO 6743-4 z izjemo HFD R, HFD S in HFD T pri temperaturah od −40 °C do 100 °C za tipa 4SP in 4SH ter od −40 °C do 120 °C za tipa R12 in R13;
–   tekočinami na vodni osnovi pri temperaturah od –40 °C do 70°C.
–   vodnimi tekočinami pri temperaturah od 0 °C do 70 °C.
Ta evropski standard ne zajema zahtev za končnike. Standard je omejen na lastnosti cevi in cevnih priključkov.
OPOMBA 1:   Cevi niso primerne za uporabo s tekočinami na osnovi ricinusovega olja in estra.
OPOMBA 2:   Cevi in cevni priključki se ne smejo uporabljati zunaj področja uporabe tega standarda.
OPOMBA 3:   Zahteve za hidravlične cevi za podzemno rudarjenje so standardizirane v ločenem standardu.

3 Types of hose
Four types of hose are specified:
1) Type 4SP – a 4-steel wire spiral medium pressure hose;
2) Type 4SH – a 4-steel wire spiral extra high pressure hose;

3) Type R12 – a 4 steel wire spiral heavy duty high temperature hose – medium pressure rating;

4) Type R13 – a multiple steel wire spiral heavy duty high temperature hose – high pressure rating.

4 Materials and construction
4.1 Hoses

Hoses shall consist of an oil and water resistant synthetic rubber lining, spiral plies of steel wire

wrapped in alternating directions, and an oil and weather resistant synthetic rubber cover. Each spiral

wire ply shall be separated by an insulating layer of synthetic rubber.
4.2 Hose assemblies

Hose assemblies shall only be manufactured with those hose fittings whose functionality has been

verified in accordance with subclauses 6.1, 6.3, 6.4 and 6.5 of this European Standard.

5 Dimensions
5.1 Diameters and concentricity

When measured in accordance with EN ISO 4671, the diameters of the hoses shall conform to the values

given in Table 1.

When measured in accordance with EN ISO 4671, the diameter over reinforcement and outside

diameter of the hoses shall conform to the values given in Table 2.
