This document specifies the essential safety requirements for the design and construction of magnetic clamping systems (MCS) for plastics and rubber machines (injection moulding machines, compression moulding machines etc.) and provides information for their safe use.
This standard deals with all significant hazards, hazardous situation or hazardous events that are listed in Annex A, when a MCS is used utilizing magnetic force to affix a mould to the plate of a machine in which is integrated, taking into consideration even conditions of misuse that are reasonably foreseeable by the manufacturer.
This standard does not cover hydraulic or pneumatic or mechanical clamping systems.
This standard is not applicable to MCS, which are manufactured before the date of its publication.

Dieses Dokument legt die wesentlichen Sicherheitsanforderungen für die Konstruktion, den Bau und die Integration von Magnetspannsystemen für Kunststoff- und Gummimaschinen (z. B. Spritzgießmaschinen, Pressen) fest und gibt Betriebsgrenzen und Hinweise für deren sichere Verwendung.
Diese Norm behandelt die in Anhang A aufgeführten grundlegenden Gefährdungen, Gefährdungssituationen oder Gefährdungsereignisse, wenn ein Magnetspannsystem unter Anwendung von Magnetkraft zur Befestigung einer Form an der Platte einer Maschine, in die es integriert ist, verwendet wird, und enthält Anforderungen zur Beseitigung oder angemessenen Verringerung der mit diesen Gefährdungen verbundenen Risiken unter Berücksichtigung der vom Hersteller vernünftigerweise vorhersehbaren Fehlanwendungen.
Diese Norm legt auch Anforderungen an das Magnetspannsystem fest, wenn es in eine Maschine integriert ist. Diese Norm befasst sich nicht speziell mit Gefährdungen im Zusammenhang mit Produktionsprozessen oder anderen Verfahren (z. B. horizontale oder vertikale Spritzgießprozesse). Für diese Prozessgefährdungen können andere Normen anwendbar sein.
Dieses Dokument gilt nicht für hydraulische, pneumatische oder mechanische Spannsysteme.
Diese Norm gilt nicht für Magnetspannsysteme, die vor dem Datum ihrer Veröffentlichung hergestellt wurden.

Le présent document précise les prescriptions de sécurité essentielles pour la conception, la construction et l’intégration de systèmes de bridage magnétique (MCS) pour les machines pour les matières plastiques et le caoutchouc (par exemple, machines de moulage par injection, machines de moulage par compression) et fournit des limites de fonctionnement et des informations pour leur utilisation en toute sécurité.
Le présent document traite des phénomènes dangereux de base, des situations dangereuses ou des événements dangereux énumérés à l’Annexe A, lorsqu’un MCS est utilisé en utilisant la force magnétique pour fixer un moule au plateau d’une machine dans laquelle il est intégré, et fournit des exigences pour éliminer ou réduire adéquatement les risques associés à ces phénomènes dangereux en tenant compte des conditions de mauvaise utilisation raisonnablement prévisibles par le fabricant.
Le présent document précise également les prescriptions relatives au MCS lorsqu’il est intégré dans une machine. Ta dokument določa bistvene varnostne zahteve za načrtovanje in izdelavo magnetnih vpenjalnih sistemov (MCS) za stroje za predelavo gume in plastike (stroji za brizgalno vlivanje, stiskalnice za tlačno oblikovanje itd.) in zagotavlja informacije za njihovo varno uporabo.
Ta standard opisuje vse večje nevarnosti, nevarne situacije in nevarne dogodke, ki so navedeni v dodatku A, kadar se magnetni vpenjalni sistem uporablja za pritrditev kalupa na ploščo stroja, v katerem je vgrajen, pri čemer se upoštevajo tudi pogoji nepravilne uporabe, ki jih je razumno predvidel proizvajalec.

"Plastics and rubber machines" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 145 “Plastics and
rubber machines” the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by October 2023, and conflicting national standards shall
be withdrawn at the latest by October 2023.
