EN 2346-005 specifies the characteristics of light weight fire proof, unscreened, electrical cables for use in the on-board electrical systems of aircraft at operating temperature between - 65 °C and 260 °C. This cable has not been demonstrated to be arc resistance at a.c.voltages above 200 V rms (network 115/200 V rms). Single core is UV Laser printable in accordance with EN 3838; UV laser markability is not mandatory for multicore cables.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Anforderungen an gewichtsoptimierte, feuerbeständige, ungeschirmte elek-trische Leitungen zur Verwendung in elektrischen Bordnetzen von Luftfahrzeugen bei Betriebstemperaturen zwischen −65 °C und 260 °C fest.
Bei dieser Leitung konnte nicht nachgewiesen werden, dass sie bei Wechselspannungen von mehr als 200 V effektiv (Netzwerk 115/200 V effektiv) lichtbogenbeständig ist.
Einadrige Leitungen sind nach EN 3838 mit UV-Laser bedruckbar; die Kennzeichnung durch UV-Laser ist bei mehradrigen Leitungen nicht zwingend vorgeschrieben.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les caractéristiques des câbles électriques, non blindés, résistant au
feu, version allégée, utilisés dans les systèmes électriques à bord des aéronefs, à des températures de
fonctionnement comprises entre - 65 °C et 260 °C.
Ce câble n'a pas démontré sa résistance aux arcs électriques avec des tensions alternatives supérieures à
200 V rms (tension réseau 115/200 V rms).
Le monoconducteur est marquable au laser UV conformément à l'EN 3838 ; le marquage au laser UV n'est
pas obligatoire pour des câbles multiconducteurs.
