Railway applications - Braking - Brake pad holder

This document specifies requirements for production, production monitoring, design and testing of brake pad holders to be installed on railway vehicles.  This document is applicable to brake pad holders produced from cast iron or forged steel. This document is not applicable to brake pad holders made of nonferrous materials. This document is applicable to the brake pad holders which are fitted to rail vehicles of main line railways, private railways, company railways).

Die in dieser Europäischen Norm enthaltenen Anforderungen gelten für Bremsbelaghalter für Schienen-fahrzeuge des öffentlichen Verkehrs sowie für Privatbahnen (Regionalbahnen, Werksbahnen). Bremsbelag-halter, die dieser Norm entsprechen, können aus Grau- bzw. Stahlguss oder aus geschmiedetem Stahl sein. Bremsbelaghalter, die aus Nichteisen-Werkstoffen bestehen, werden in dieser Norm nicht behandelt.

Les exigences contenues dans la présente Norme européenne s'appliquent aux porte-garnitures de freins qui équipent les véhicules ferroviaires utilisés par les réseaux principaux nationaux, les réseaux urbains, métropolitains, les tramways et les réseaux privés (chemins de fer régionaux, compagnies privées, etc.). Les porte-garnitures de freins conformes à la présente norme peuvent être en fonte, en acier moulé ou en acier forgé. Les porte-garnitures de freins en matériaux non ferreux ne relèvent pas de la présente norme.
