Ladders - Part 7: Mobile ladders with platform

This European Standard defines terms and specifies the general design characteristics of mobile ladders with platform. It applies to mobile ladders with a working platform, with a maximum area of 1 m2, and a maximum platform height of 5 m, to be used only by one person at the time. The maximum load is 150 kg which includes a maximum combined load of the user and any tools, equipment and materials
It does not apply to portable ladders according to EN131-1, to portable ladders according to EN131-4, to portable ladders for fire service use according to EN 1147, to loft ladders according to EN 14795, to step stools according to EN 14183, to Stairs, stepladders and guard-rails according to EN ISO 14122-3 and to insulating ladders according to EN 50528.

Diese Europäische Norm definiert Benennungen und legt die allgemeinen Konstruktionsmerkmale von mobilen Podestleitern fest. Sie gilt für mobile Leitern mit einem Arbeitspodest mit einer maximalen Fläche von 1 m2 und einer maximalen Podesthöhe von 5 m, die zur Benutzung von einer Person bestimmt sind. Die maximale Höchstlast beträgt 150 kg, die sich aus dem Gewicht des Benutzers sowie möglichen Werkzeugen, Ausrüstungen und Materialien zusammensetzt.

Échelles - Partie 7: Échelles mobiles avec plate-forme

La présente Norme européenne définit les termes et spécifie les caractéristiques générales de conception des échelles mobiles avec plate-forme. Elle s'applique aux échelles mobiles avec plate-forme de travail d'une surface maximale de 1 m2 et d'une hauteur maximale de 5 m, conçues pour être utilisées par une seule personne à la fois. La charge maximale est de 150 kg ; elle inclut l'utilisateur lui-même ainsi que des outils, équipements et matériels.

Ta evropski standard opredeljuje pogoje in določa splošne konstrukcijske značilnosti mobilnih lestev s ploščadjo. Velja za mobilne lestve z delovno ploščadjo velikosti največ 1 m2 in višino največ 5 m, ki jih lahko naenkrat uporablja samo ena oseba. Največja obremenitev je 150 kg, kar vključuje največjo skupno obremenitev uporabnika ter vseh orodij, opreme in materialov. Ne velja za prenosne lestve po EN 131-1, prenosne lestve po EN 131-4, prenosne lestve za gasilce po EN 1147, lestve po EN 14975, stopničaste stole po EN 14183, stopnice, stopničaste lestve in varovalne ograje po EN ISO 14122-3 ter izolirne lestve po EN 50528.

EN 131-7:2013 is the CEN European Standard that defines terms and specifies general design characteristics, dimensional limits and tests for mobile ladders with platform. It applies to ladders with a working platform up to 1 m², a maximum platform height of 5 m, designed for use by one person, and a rated maximum load of 150 kg (user plus tools/equipment/materials). EN 131-7:2013 is part of the EN 131 ladder series and was approved by CEN in 2013.

The marking shall be legible and durable. The durability of the marking shall be verified. Wide rungs/steps and platforms shall be designed to be horizontal when the product is used on a flat floor. Wide rungs, rungs, steps and platforms made of metal or plastics shall have a textured surface on the working face to reduce slipping. The contact surface of the coverings shall adhere firmly to the rungs or steps. 4.2 Surface finishes This requirement shall be according EN 131-2.
