SCOPE
1.1 This specification establishes the requirements for rolled copper-clad stainless steel, sheet and strip in flat lengths, coils, or in thicknesses for roofing, siding, flashing, gutters, downspouts, and general sheet metal work for outside building construction.  
1.2 Units—The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regarded as standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematical conversions to SI units that are provided for information only and are not considered standard.  
1.2.1 Exception—Grain size units are stated in SI units.  
1.3 The following safety hazard caveat pertains only to the test method(s) described in this specification.
