Protective footwear for professional motorcycle riders - Requirements and test methods

This European standard applies to protective footwear for professional motorcycle riders for use while riding motorcycles for on or off road activities. It specifies the requirements for protection, ergonomic characteristics, innocuousness, mechanical properties, cleaning, marking and information for users. It also describes the appropriate test methods.

Diese Europäische Norm gilt für Schutzschuhe für professionelle Motorradfahrer, die diese beim Motorradfahren auf Straßen und im Gelände tragen. Sie legt die Anforderungen an Schutz, ergonomische Merkmale, Unschädlichkeit, mechanische Eigenschaften, Reinigung, Kennzeichnung und Anwenderinformationen fest. Sie beschreibt außerdem die geeigneten Prüfverfahren.

La présente Norme européenne s'applique aux chaussures de protection destinées aux motocyclistes professionnels qui les utilisent pour conduire sur route ou hors route. Elle spécifie les exigences en matière de protection, de caractéristiques ergonomiques, d'innocuité, de propriétés mécaniques, de nettoyage, de marquage et d'informations aux utilisateurs. Elle décrit également les méthodes d'essai appropriées par lesquelles la conformité à ces exigences peut être évaluée.
