Workbenches for laboratories - Dimensions, safety requirements and test methods
This draft European Standard specifies safety requirements and test methods for laboratory benches including laboratory tables and gives recommendations for their dimensions. It applies to benches, movable tables and overbench shelves designed for use in research, educational, quality control and similar laboratories. It should be understood that fulfilling the requirements do not ensure that failure will not occur as a result of habitual misuse or after an excessively long period of service. The tests are designed to be applied to a stand-alone bench that is fully assembled and ready for use.
Arbeitstische für Laboratorien - Maße, Sicherheitsanforderungen und Prüfverfahren
Dieser Europäische Norm-Entwurf legt Sicherheitsanforderungen und Prüfverfahren für Laborarbeitstische einschließlich beweglicher Tische fest und gibt Empfehlungen für ihre Maße. Diese Europäische Norm gilt für fest installierte Arbeitstische, bewegliche Tische und Tischablagen, die für den Gebrauch in Forschungs-, Ausbildungs-, Qualitätskontroll- und gleichartigen Laboratorien konstruiert sind. Diese Europäische Norm gilt nicht für Schülertische in wissenschaftlichen Klassenräumen von Schulen. Sie gilt nicht für Spezialtische, beispielsweise für schwere diagnostische Analysenautomaten oder verfahrenstechnische Maschinen. Verständlicherweise wird durch diese Norm nicht sichergestellt, dass Mängel, die infolge regelmäßigen Missbrauchs oder nach einer übermäßig langen Nutzungszeit auftreten können, vermieden werden. Die Prüfungen gelten für einen allein stehenden Arbeitstisch, der komplett montiert und betriebsfertig ist. Anforderungen und Prüfverfahren hinsichtlich der Feuersicherheit von Arbeitstischen und hinsichtlich der Wiederstandsfähigkeit der Arbeitsoberfläche sind in dieser Europäische Norm nicht behandelt.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les prescriptions de sécurité et les méthodes d'essai des paillasses de laboratoire, y compris les tables de laboratoire et donne des recommandations concernant leurs dimensions.
La présente Norme européenne s'applique aux paillasses, tables mobiles et tablettes conçues pour une utilisation dans des laboratoires de recherche, d'enseignement, de contrôle de qualité ou similaires.
La présente norme ne s'applique pas aux paillasses pour élèves des classes scientifiques des écoles. Elle ne s'applique pas aux paillasses pour usages spéciaux, par exemple pour diagnostic lourd ou pour machines de traitement.
Il devrait être compris que le respect des prescriptions n'assure pas qu'un défaut n'apparaisse du fait d'une mauvaise utilisation continuelle ou après une période d'utilisation excessivement longue.
Les essais sont conçus pour être appliqués à une paillasse isolée complètement assemblée et prête à l'utilisation.
Les spécifications et méthodes d'essai liées à la sécurité des paillasses en cas d'incendie et à la résistance du plan de travail ne sont pas traitées dans la présente Norme européenne.
