Ladders - Part 1: Terms, types, functional sizes

This European Standard defines terms and specifies the general design characteristics of ladders.
It applies to portable ladders. It does not apply to step stools for which EN 14183 applies. It does also not apply to ladders designed for specific professional use such as fire brigade ladders, roof ladders and mobile ladders.

Leitern - Teil 1: Benennungen, Bauarten, Funktionsmaße

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Begriffe fest und bestimmt die allgemeinen Konstruktionsmerkmale von Leitern. Sie gilt für tragbare Leitern. Sie gilt nicht für Tritte, hierfür gilt EN 14183. Sie gilt auch nicht für Leitern für den besonderen beruflichen Gebrauch, wie Feuerwehrleitern, Dachleitern und fahrbare Leitern.

Echelles - Partie 1: Terminologie, types, dimensions fonctionnelles

La présente Norme européenne définit les termes et spécifie les caractéristiques générales de construction
des échelles.
Elle s’applique aux échelles portables. En revanche, elle ne s’applique pas aux tabourets et escabeaux qui
sont traités dans la norme EN 14183. Elle ne s’applique pas non plus aux échelles à usage professionnel
spécifique telles que les échelles de pompiers, de couvreurs-ardoisiers et les échelles remorquables.

Ta evropski standard opredeljuje terminologijo in določa splošne značilnosti načrtovanja lestev.
Velja za prenosne lestve. Ne velja za stopničaste stole, za katere velja EN 14183. Prav tako ne velja za lestve, načrtovane za posebno profesionalno uporabo, kot so gasilske lestve, strešne lestve in premične lestve.
