Rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies - Guidelines for selection, storage, use and maintenance (ISO 8331:2016)

ISO 8331:2016 sets out recommendations designed to maintain rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies, prior to use, in a condition as close as possible to the condition they were in when they were received and to obtain the expected service life.
NOTE          It is intended that this document be used in conjunction with any applicable national statutory regulations.

Dieses Dokument gibt Empfehlungen darüber, wie Gummi- und Kunststoffschläuche sowie Schlauchleitungen vor der Verwendung vorzubehandeln sind, um den Zustand zu erreichen, dem sie bei Lieferung weitestgehend entsprachen, und um die erwartete Betriebsdauer zu erreichen.

This document (EN ISO 8331:2016) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 45 "Rubber and
rubber products" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 218 “Rubber and plastics hoses
and hose assemblies” the secretariat of which is held by BSI.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by May 2017, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by May 2017.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent
rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 8331:2014.
