Welding consumables - Covered electrodes for manual metal arc welding of nickel and nickel alloys - Classification (ISO 14172:2023)

This document prescribes requirements for the classification of nickel and nickel-alloy covered
electrodes for manual metal arc welding and overlaying. The classification of the covered electrodes is
based on the chemical composition of their deposited all-weld metal. It includes those compositions in
which the nickel content exceeds that of any other element.

Dieses Dokument legt die Anforderungen für die Einteilung von umhüllten Stabelektroden aus Nickel und Nickellegierungen zum Lichtbogenhandschweißen und zum Schweißplattieren fest. Die Einteilung der umhüllten Stabelektroden basiert auf der chemischen Zusammensetzung des reinen Schweißgutes. Es schließt solche Zusammensetzungen ein, bei denen Nickel den größten Einzelgehalt aufweist.

IEC 61375-2-8:2021 s'applique à l'ensemble des équipements et dispositifs mis en œuvre conformément à l'IEC 61375-2-3:2015, l'IEC 61375-2-5:2014 et l'IEC 61375-3-4:2014, c'est-à-dire qu'elle couvre les modes opératoires à appliquer à ces équipements et dispositifs dont il convient de démontrer la conformité.

Ta dokument določa zahteve za razvrščanje oplaščenih elektrod za ročno obločno varjenje in prekrivanje niklja in nikljevih zlitin. Razvrstitev obravnavanih elektrod temelji na kemični sestavi njihovih čistih varov. Vključuje sestave, v katerih vsebnost niklja presega vsebnost katerega koli drugega elementa.

This document (EN ISO 14172:2023) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 44 "Welding
and allied processes" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 121 “Welding and allied
processes” the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by February 2024, and conflicting national standards
shall be withdrawn at the latest by February 2024.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 14172:2015.
