This standard specifies a method to determine the emission sound pressure level of machines in situ, at the work station or at other specified positions, using sound intensity. It is an alternative to EN ISO 11202 and EN ISO 11204 for in situ measurements.

Diese Internationale Norm legt ein Verfahren der Genauigkeitsklasse 2 fest, um aus Schallintensitätsmessungen den Emissions-Schalldruckpegel von Maschinen am Arbeitsplatz oder an anderen festgelegten Orten unter Einsatzbedingungen zu bestimmen. Sie stellt als Alternative zu ISO 11201, ISO 11202 und ISO 11204 eine Möglichkeit zur Messung unter Einsatzbedingungen dar. Sie ist für alle Arten von Prüfumgebungen anwendbar, vorausgesetzt, die Anforderungen an das Fremdgeräusch und die Feldindikatoren sind erfüllt.
Diese Internationale Norm gilt für Geräte, die stationäres breitbandiges Geräusch abstrahlen. Das Geräusch kann innerhalb von Arbeitszyklen variieren und kann tonale oder schmalbandige Anteile enthalten.
