Welding consumables - Solid wires and rods for fusion welding of titanium and titanium alloys - Classification (ISO 24034:2005)

This standard specifies requirements for classification of wire electrodes, wires and rods for arc welding of titanium and titanium alloys. The classification of the wire electrodes, wires and rods is based on their chemical composition.

Schweißzusätze - Massivdrähte und -stäbe zum Schmelzschweißen von Titan und Titanlegierungen - Einteilung (ISO 24034:2005)

Diese Norm legt Anforderungen für die Einteilung von Massivdrähten und Massivstäben zum Schmelz-
schweißen von Titan und Titanlegierungen fest. Die Einteilung der Massivdrähte und Massivstäbe erfolgt nach ihrer chemischen Zusammensetzung.
Bei Titan-Schweißzusätzen weist die Massivdrahtelektrode für den MIG-Prozess (Metall-Schutzgasschweißen) dieselbe Zusammensetzung auf wie für den WIG-Prozess (Wolfram-Inertgasschweißen), für den Plasma-Schweißprozess, für den Laserstrahlprozess und für andere Schmelzschweißprozesse. Daher gilt in dieser Einteilungsnorm die Bezeichnung Massivdrähte/Massivstäbe sowohl für Massivdrahtelektroden als auch für Massivdrähte und Massivstäbe.
ANMERKUNG   In dieser Norm wird der Begriff Titan für Titan und Titan-Legierungen verwendet.
Die Einteilung der Titan-Massivdrähte und Massivstäbe erfolgt nach ihrer chemischen Zusammensetzung.

This document (EN ISO 24034:2005) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 44
"Welding and allied processes" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 121
"Welding", the secretariat of which is held by DIN.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of
an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by April 2006, and conflicting national
standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by April 2006.

According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of
