The text of ISO 80000-3:2019 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 12 "Quantities and
units” of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been taken over as
is held by CCMC.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by April 2021, and conflicting national standards shall be
withdrawn at the latest by April 2021.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 80000-3:2013.
According to the CEN-CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the

Foreword
ISO (the International Organization for Standardization) is a worldwide federation of national standards
bodies (ISO member bodies). The work of preparing International Standards is normally carried out
through ISO technical committees. Each member body interested in a subject for which a technical
committee has been established has the right to be represented on that committee. International
organizations, governmental and non-governmental, in liaison with ISO, also take part in the work.
ISO collaborates closely with the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) on all matters of
electrotechnical standardization.
The procedures used to develop this document and those intended for its further maintenance are
described in the ISO/IEC Directives, Part 1. In particular, the different approval criteria needed for the

— some definitions and the remarks have been stated physically more precisely.

This document gives names, symbols, definitions and units for quantities of space and time. Where
appropriate, conversion factors are also given.

ima status slovenskega standarda in je istoveten evropskemu standardu EN ISO 80000-3:2020 (en),
Quantities and units – Part 3: Space and time (ISO 80000-3:2019).
Ta standard nadomešča SIST EN ISO 80000-3:2013 in SIST ISO 80000-3:2012.
NACIONALNI PREDGOVOR
Evropski standard EN ISO 80000-3:2020 je pripravil tehnični odbor ISO/TC 12 "Veličine in enote" v
sodelovanju s tehničnim odborom CEN/SS F02 "Enote in simboli", katerega sekretariat vodi CCMC.
Slovenski standard SIST EN ISO 80000-3:2020 je prevod evropskega standarda EN ISO 80000-3:2020.
V primeru spora glede besedila slovenskega prevoda v tem standardu je odločilen izvirni evropski
standard v angleškem jeziku. Slovensko izdajo standarda je pripravil tehnični odbor SIST/TC TRS
Tehnično risanje, veličine, enote, simboli in grafični simboli.
Odločitev za izdajo tega standarda je 23. 10. 2020 sprejel SIST/TC TRS Tehnično risanje, veličine,

tehnični odbor CEN/SS F02 "Enote in simboli", katerega sekretariat vodi CCMC.
Ta evropski standard mora z objavo istovetnega besedila ali z razglasitvijo dobiti status
nacionalnega standarda najpozneje do aprila 2021, nacionalne standarde, ki so v nasprotju s tem
standardom, pa je treba razveljaviti najpozneje do aprila 2021.
Opozoriti je treba na možnost, da je lahko nekaj elementov tega dokumenta predmet patentnih
