Fire detection and fire alarm systems - Part 10: Flame detectors - Point detectors

This European Standard specifies requirements, test methods and performance criteria for point-type, flame detectors that detect the radiation from the flames generated during the combustion of carbon based materials operate using radiation from a hydrocarbon flame for use in fire detection systems installed in and around buildings.
Flame detectors having special characteristics suitable for the detection of specific fire risks are not covered by this standard e.g. flame detectors that are used solely to detect metal fires or hydrogen fires (although the standard may be used as guidance in assessing such products). The performance requirements for any additional functions are beyond the scope of this standard (e.g. additional features or enhanced functionality for which this standard does not define a test or assessment method).

Diese Europäische Norm legt Anforderungen, Prüfverfahren und Leistungsmerkmale für punktförmige Flammenmelder fest, die auf die Strahlung einer Kohlenwasserstoffflamme ansprechen und die in Brandmeldeanlagen eingesetzt werden, die in Gebäuden und in deren Nähe montiert sind.
Flammenmelder mit besonderen Eigenschaften, die für die Erkennung besonderer Brandrisiken geeignet sind, werden nicht von dieser Norm behandelt (für die Bewertung solcher Produkte kann die vorliegende Norm aber als Leitfaden angewendet werden). Die Leistungsanforderungen an alle zusätzlichen Funktionen liegen nicht im Anwendungsbereich dieser Norm (z. B. zusätzliche Merkmale oder erweiterte Funktionalität, für die in der vorliegenden Norm keine Prüfung oder kein Bewertungsverfahren festgelegt ist).

La présente Norme européenne spécifie les exigences, les méthodes d'essai et les critères de performance applicables aux détecteurs ponctuels de flamme qui fonctionnent en utilisant les rayonnements de la flamme d'hydrocarbure et sont utilisés dans les systèmes de détection incendie installés dans les bâtiments et autour de ceux-ci.
Les détecteurs de flamme ayant des caractéristiques spéciales adaptées à la détection de risques d'incendie spécifiques ne sont pas couverts par la présente norme (bien que la norme puisse servir de guide dans l'évaluation de produits de ce type). Les exigences de performance relatives à toute autre fonction ne relèvent pas du domaine d'application de la présente norme (par exemple, des caractéristiques supplémentaires ou une fonctionnalité améliorée pour lesquelles la présente norme ne définit pas d'essai ou de méthode d'évaluation).
