Writing boards for educational institutions - Ergonomic, technical and safety requirements and their test methods

This European Standard specifies ergonomic, technical and safety requirements for wall mounted and free-standing writing boards for use in rooms for educational and training purposes, e.g. classrooms, lecture theatres for schools, universities, etc.
It is intended to prevent serious injury through normal functional use, as well as misuse that might reasonably be expected to occur.
This document applies to units after installation. Safety depending on the structure of the building is not included, e.g. the strength of wall mounted boards includes only the board and its parts. The wall and the wall attachment are not included.
Requirements concerning electrical safety are not included.
Annex A (normative) includes an assessment scale for the ability to write and erase.
Annex B (informative) includes terminology for display writing boards.
Annex C (informative) includes significant technical differences between this document and EN 14434:2004.

Diese Europäische Norm legt ergonomische, technische und sicherheitstechnische Anforderungen an
wandbefestigte und frei stehende Schreibtafeln für die Verwendung in Räumen, die der Ausbildung und
Fortbildung dienen, z. B. Schulräume, Vortragssäle in Schulen, Universitäten usw., fest.
Es ist beabsichtigt, Unfällen entgegenzuwirken, die bei bestimmungsgemäßem Gebrauch ebenso eintreten
können wie bei nicht bestimmungsgemäßer Benutzung.
Dieses Dokument bezieht sich auf Tafeln, die bereits montiert sind. Für die Sicherheit im Zusammenhang mit
der Wandbeschaffenheit von Gebäuden gilt diese Norm nicht; z. B. die Festigkeit wandmontierter Tafeln
bezieht sich nur auf die Tafel und ihre Bestandteile. Die Konstruktion der Wand sowie die Wandbefestigung
werden in dieser Norm nicht berücksichtigt.
Anforderungen in Bezug auf die elektrische Sicherheit sind in dieser Norm nicht enthalten.
Anhang A (normativ) enthält eine Bewertungsskala für die Eignung für Beschreiben und Abwischen.
Anhang B (informativ) enthält eine Terminologie für Schreibtafeln.
Anhang C (informativ) enthält wesentliche technische Änderungen zwischen diesem Dokument und
EN 14434:2004.

Tableaux pour établissements d'enseignement — Exigences ergonomiques, techniques et de sécurité et méthodes d'essai correspondantes

Cette norme européenne spécifie les exigences ergonomiques, techniques et de sécurité pour les tableaux
muraux et sur pied utilisés dans les locaux d’enseignement et de formation, par exemple les salles de classe,
les amphithéâtres des écoles, universités, etc.
Il est destiné à éviter les blessures graves lors d’une utilisation normale, ainsi que toute mauvaise utilisation à
laquelle on pourrait raisonnablement s’attendre.
Le présent document s’applique aux unités installées. Il ne concerne pas la sécurité liée à la structure du
bâtiment et, par exemple, la résistance des tableaux muraux porte uniquement sur le tableau lui-même et ses
éléments. Le mur et la fixation au mur ne sont pas pris en compte.
Les exigences relatives à la sécurité électrique ne sont pas incluses.
L’Annexe A (normative) comporte une échelle d’évaluation de l’aptitude à écrire et à effacer.
L’Annexe B (informative) présente une terminologie relative aux tableaux à affichage.
L’Annexe C (informative) énumère les différences techniques importantes entre le présent document et
l’EN 14434:2004.

Ta evropski standard določa ergonomične, tehnične in varnostne zahteve za table, pritrjene na zid ali prosto stoječe, za uporabo v sobah za namene izobraževanja in treniranja, npr. učilnice, predavalnice za šole, univerze itd. Namenjen je temu, da prepreči resne poškodbe pri običajni funkcionalni uporabi in upravičeno pričakovani napačni uporabi. Ta dokument velja za enote po postavitvi. Varnost, odvisna od strukture zgradbe, ni zajeta. Na primer: trdnost na zid nameščenih tabel vsebuje samo tablo in njene dele. Zid in oprema za pritrjevanje na zid nista zajeta. Zahteve glede električne varnosti niso zajete. Dodatek A (normativni) vsebuje lestvico za ocenjevanje zmožnosti pisanja in brisanja. Dodatek B (informativni) vsebuje terminologijo za izobešene table za pisanje. Dodatek C (informativni) vsebuje pomembne tehnične razlike med tem dokumentom in EN 14434:2004.
