Child use and care articles - Children's harnesses, reins and similar type articles - Safety requirements and test methods

This document specifies the minimum safety requirements and test methods for harnesses, comprising strap assemblies, and body type garments for restraining children up to 4 years of age. These products are for use in child use and care articles, which are fitted with specified attachment points. These products may be provided with a detachable rein for use when the child is walking. These products may incorporate storage pockets e.g. back or waist packs.
This document specifies the minimum safety requirements and test methods for restraint systems, designed to fit around a child's wrist for use when walking.
This document does not apply to restraint systems, permanently fitted as an integral feature of child use and care articles.
This document does not apply to restraint systems intended for children with special needs.
This document does not apply to restraint systems for use in motorised and power driven vehicles.

Artikel für Säuglinge und Kleinkinder - Sicherheitsgeschirre, Zügel und ähnliche Artikel für Kinder - Sicherheitsanforderungen und Prüfverfahren

Dieses Dokument legt die Mindest Sicherheitsanforderungen an und Prüfverfahren für Sicherheitsgeschirre mit Gurt  oder Rückhaltesystemen und Überzieherkombinationen vom Rumpftyp für Kinder bis 4 Jahren fest. Diese Produkte sind zur Anwendung in Artikeln für Säuglinge und Kleinkinder vorgesehen, die mit besonderen Befestigungspunkten ausgestattet sind. Diese Produkte können einen abnehmbaren Haltezügel enthalten, der angewendet wird, wenn das Kind läuft. Diese Produkte können Aufbewahrungstaschen, wie z. B. Rucksäcke oder Hüfttaschen, enthalten.
In diesem Dokument werden die Mindest Sicherheitsanforderungen an und Prüfverfahren für Rückhaltesysteme festgelegt, die so gestaltet sind, dass sie um das Handgelenk des Kindes gelegt werden können, wenn das Kind läuft.
Die Norm gilt nicht für Rückhaltesysteme, die als fester Bestandteil von Artikeln für Säuglinge und Kleinkinder ständig an diesen angebracht sind.
Dieses Dokument gilt nicht für Rückhaltesysteme, die für Kinder mit besonderen Bedürfnissen vorgesehen sind.
Die Norm gilt nicht für Rückhaltesysteme, die in motorisierten und Motorfahrzeugen anzuwenden sind.

Le présent document spécifie les exigences minimales de sécurité et les méthodes d'essai applicables aux harnais, constitués d'ensembles de sangles ou de vêtements de maintien, servant à limiter les déplacements des enfants jusqu'à l'âge de 4 ans. Ces produits sont destinés à être employés avec des articles de puériculture équipés de points de fixation spécifiques. Ils peuvent être livrés avec une laisse de promenade détachable à utiliser lorsque l'enfant marche, et peuvent comporter des poches de rangement, à porter dans le dos ou à la ceinture.
Le présent document fixe les exigences minimales de sécurité et les méthodes d'essai applicables aux systèmes de retenue, conçus pour se fixer autour du poignet de l'enfant, pour la marche.
Le présent document ne s'applique pas aux systèmes de retenue fixes faisant partie intégrante d'articles de puériculture.
Le présent document ne s'applique pas aux systèmes de retenue destinés aux enfants ayant des besoins particuliers.
Il ne s'applique pas aux systèmes de retenue destinés à être utilisés dans les véhicules à moteur.
