Diese Internationale Norm beschreibt Probenmaße und das Verfahren der Kopfzugprüfung an Punkt- und Buckelschwei-ßungen an überlappten Blechen aus beliebigen metallischen Werkstoffen der Blechdicke von 0,5 mm bis 3 mm, wobei die Schweißungen einen maximalen Durchmesser von  haben dürfen (t ist die Blechdicke in mm).
Das Ziel der Kopfzugprüfung ist, die Zugkraft zu bestimmen, die die Probe ertragen kann.
