Specification for protective clothing for use where there is a risk of entanglement with moving parts

This standard specifies the properties of protective clothing that minimize the risk of its entanglement or drawing-in by moving parts when the wearer is working at or near hazardous moving machines or devices. This standard does not include protective clothing against injuries by special moving machine parts for which specific standards exist, e.g. protective clothing for users of chainsaws.

Dieses Dokument legt in Ergänzung zu den allgemeinen Anforderungen in EN ISO 13688 Ausführungsanforderungen an Schutzkleidungsstücke fest, die das Risiko ihres Verfangens oder Einziehens durch bewegte Teile, wenn der Träger an oder in der Nähe von Maschinen oder Geräten mit gefährlichen Bewegungen arbeitet, minimieren.
Dieses Dokument gilt nicht für Schutzkleidung gegen Verletzungen durch spezielle bewegte Maschinenteile, für die es spezifische Normen gibt, z. B. Schutzkleidung für Nutzer von Kettensägen (EN ISO 11393).

Le présent document spécifie les exigences de conception des vêtements de protection qui réduisent au minimum les risques de happement ou d'entraînement par des pièces en mouvement lorsque le porteur travaille sur ou à proximité des machines ou appareils en mouvement dangereux. Ces exigences sont complémentaires des exigences générales énoncées dans l'EN ISO 13688.
Le présent document exclut l’habillement de protection contre les blessures occasionnées par des parties particulières de machines en mouvement pour lequel il existe des normes spécifiques, par exemple l’habillement de protection pour les utilisateurs de scies à chaîne (EN ISO 11393)

Ta standard določa lastnosti varovalnih oblačil, pri katerih je nevarnost, da se oblačilo zaplete ob premikajoče se dele oziroma da se vanje zatakne, ko uporabnik dela na nevarnih premičnih strojih ali napravah oziroma v njihovi bližini, kar najmanjša. Ta standard ne vključuje varovalnih oblačil za zaščito pred poškodbami s posebnimi premikajočimi se deli strojev, za katere obstajajo posebni standardi, npr. varovalna oblačila za uporabnike motornih žag.
