Laboratory glassware - Burettes (ISO 385:2005)

This International Standard provides metrological and construction requirements for an internationally acceptable series of burettes, suitable for general laboratory purposes.
The details specified are in accordance with the principles of design and construction of volumetric glassware given in ISO 384.
For piston burettes, see ISO 8655-3.

Dieses Dokument legt messtechnische und konstruktionstechnische Anforderungen an eine weltweit anwendbare Reihe von Büretten für den allgemeinen Laborgebrauch fest.
Die festgelegten Einzelheiten entsprechen den in ISO 384 festgelegten Grundlagen für Gestaltung und Bau von Volumenmessgeräten aus Glas.

L'ISO 385:2005 fournit des exigences de métrologie et de construction pour une série de burettes acceptables sur le plan international et adaptées aux usages courants de laboratoire.
Le détail des spécifications est conforme aux principes de conception et de construction de la verrerie volumétrique exposés dans l'ISO 384.
Pour les burettes à piston, l'ISO 8655-3 s'applique.

Foreword

This document (EN ISO 385:2005) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 48 "Laboratory
glassware and related apparatus" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 332 "Laboratory
equipment", the secretariat of which is held by DIN.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by October 2005, and conflicting national standards shall
be withdrawn at the latest by October 2005.

According to the CEN/CENELEC Internal Regulations, the national standards organizations of the
following countries are bound to implement this European Standard: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Czech
Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy,
