Intelligent transport systems - Cooperative ITS - ITS station facilities for the transfer of information between ITS stations (ISO/TS 17429:2017)

ISO/TS 17429:2017 specifies generic mechanisms enabling the exchange of information between ITS stations for applications related to Intelligent Transport Systems. It complies with the ITS station reference architecture (ISO 21217) and defines the following ITS station facilities layer functionalities:
-      Communication Profile Handler (CPH);
-      Content Subscription Handler (CSH);
-      Facilities Services Handler (FSH).
These functionalities are used by ITS-S application processes (ITS-S-AP) to communicate with other ITS-S application processes and share information. These functionalities describe
-      how lower-layer communication services assigned to a given data flow are applied to the service data units at the various layers in the communication protocol stack (CPH, see 6.2.3),
-      how content from data dictionaries can be published and subscribed to by ITS-S application processes (CSH, see 6.2.5),
-      how well-known ITS station facilities layer and management services can be applied to application process data units (FSH, see 6.2.4), relieving (ITS-S) application processes from having to implement these services on their own,
-      how service access points (SAP) primitives specified in ISO 24102‑3 are used,
-      service primitives for the exchange of information between ITS-S application processes and the ITS station facilities layer (FA-SAP), and
-      a set of communication requirements and objectives (profiles) using the methods defined in ISO/TS 17423 to select the level of performance (best effort or real-time, etc.), confidence and security (authentication, encryption, etc.) for information exchange between ITS stations, such as data provision, event notification, roadside configuration, map update.

Ta mednarodni standard je del skupine standardov o kooperativnem sistemu ITS, ki temelji na referenčni arhitekturi postaje ITS. Neobdelane in goste informacije, ki jih oddajajo postaje ITS (npr. oddajanje CAM in DENM vozil za namene varnosti v cestnem prometu) običajno zbirajo druge postaje ITS (domnevno cestna infrastruktura). Te informacije je treba obdelati in prenesti na standardiziran način med postajami ITS (načeloma med cestno infrastrukturo in prometnimi nadzornimi centri), tako da jih lahko upravljavci cest uporabljajo za namene upravljanja prometa. Obdelava teh informacij bi lahko privedla tudi do izboljšane varnosti v cestnem prometu, izboljšane učinkovitosti cest in zmanjšanja emisij toplogrednih plinov. Namen tega mednarodnega standarda je določiti profile za obdelavo zbranih informacij sprejemne postaje ITS in prenos obdelanih podatkov drugim postajam ITS za uporabe, povezane z upravljanjem, nadzorom in vodenjem prometne infrastrukture. Ta standard bo:
– določil storitve, funkcije in pričakovane rezultate,
– določil vloge in odgovornosti vseh vpletenih akterjev,
– določil povezane funkcije in vstopne točke storitve (SAP) referenčne arhitekture postaje ITS,
– opredelil, kako sprejemna postaja ITS predhodno obdeluje zbrane podatke,
– določil vsebino informacij, ki se izmenjujejo med različnimi akterji,
– opredelil raven zmogljivosti (prizadevanje za najboljšo zmogljivost ali prenos v realnem času itd.), zaupanja in varnosti (preverjanje pristnosti, šifriranje itd.) za prenos informacij,
– določil način, na katerega se obdelane informacije (varno) prenašajo med različne akterje.

This Technical Specification (CEN/TS) was approved by CEN on 19 September 2016 for provisional application.

The period of validity of this CEN/TS is limited initially to three years. After two years the members of CEN will be requested to
submit their comments, particularly on the question whether the CEN/TS can be converted into a European Standard.

CEN members are required to announce the existence of this CEN/TS in the same way as for an EN and to make the CEN/TS
available promptly at national level in an appropriate form. It is permissible to keep conflicting national standards in force (in
parallel to the CEN/TS) until the final decision about the possible conversion of the CEN/TS into an EN is reached.
