This document specifies the preparation of test pieces and specimens for all-weld metal tests in steel, nickel and nickel alloys.
The test pieces and specimens are used to determine the mechanical properties of all-weld metal where required by consumable classification standards or for other purposes, in arc welding of steel, nickel and nickel alloys.
This document is not applicable to single- or two-run welding or fillet welding. For these cases, ISO 15792‑2 and ISO 15792‑3 apply.

Dieses Dokument legt die Herstellung von Prüfstücken und der Proben für Prüfungen reinen Schweißguts an Stahl, Nickel und Nickellegierungen fest.
Die Prüfstücke und Proben werden für die Bestimmung der mechanischen Eigenschaften des reinen Schweißgutes verwendet, wenn sie durch Normen zur Einteilung von Schweißzusätzen oder für andere Zwecke beim Lichtbogenschweißen von Stahl, Nickel und Nickellegierungen gefordert werden.
Dieses Dokument gilt nicht für Einlagen- oder Zweilagen-Schweißungen oder Kehlnaht-Schweißungen. Für diese Fälle gelten ISO 15792 2 und ISO 15792 3.

Le présent document spécifie la préparation des pièces d'essai et des éprouvettes pour les essais de métal fondu hors dilution dans l'acier, le nickel et les alliages de nickel.
Les pièces d'essai et les éprouvettes sont utilisées pour déterminer les propriétés mécaniques du métal fondu hors dilution lorsque ces propriétés sont exigées par les normes de classification du produit consommable ou pour d'autres besoins rencontrés en soudage à l'arc de l'acier, du nickel et des alliages de nickel.
Le présent document ne s'applique pas au soudage en une ou deux passes, ni à l'exécution de soudures d'angle. Pour ces cas, l'ISO 15792-2 et l'ISO 15792-3 s'appliquent.

This document (EN ISO 15792-1:2020) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 44 "Welding
and allied processes" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 121 “Welding and allied
processes” the secretariat of which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an
identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by March 2021, and conflicting national standards shall
be withdrawn at the latest by March 2021.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of
patent rights. CEN shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 15792-1:2008.
