Paper - Untrimmed sizes - Designation and tolerances for primary and supplementary ranges, and indication of machine direction (ISO 217:2013)

ISO 217:2013 specifies a primary range and a supplementary range of untrimmed sizes of paper in sheets which are to be trimmed to sizes as given in ISO 216 and establishes a system of designation of untrimmed sizes.
ISO 217:2013 also specifies the method for the indication of machine direction of untrimmed sizes.

Papier - Rohformate - Kennzeichnung und Toleranzen für die Grund- und Ergänzungsreihen, Angabe der Maschinenlaufrichtung (ISO 217:2013)

Diese Internationale Norm legt eine Grundreihe und eine Ergänzungsreihe für Rohformate für Bogen fest, die auf die in ISO 216 festgelegten Formate beschnitten werden sollen. Darüber hinaus wird ein System zur Kennzeichnung von Rohformaten eingeführt.
Weiterhin legt diese Internationale Norm ein System für die Angabe der Maschinenlaufrichtung von Roh-formaten fest.

L'ISO 217:2013 spécifie une série principale et une série auxiliaire de formats bruts de papier en feuilles destinés à être découpés aux formats indiqués dans l'ISO 216, et établit un système de désignation des formats bruts.
Elle spécifie également la méthode permettant d'indiquer le sens machine des formats bruts.

Ta mednarodni standard določa osnovni in dopolnilni format za neobrezane pole listov papirja, ki morajo biti obrezane glede na vrsto pol ISO-A, kot je navedeno v standardu ISO 216, ter vzpostavlja sistem označevanja neobrezanih pol. Ta mednarodni standard določa tudi metodo za navajanje smeri neobrezanih pol v stroju.

This document (EN ISO 217:2013) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 6 “Paper, board and
pulps” in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 172 “Pulp, paper and board” the secretariat of
which is held by DIN.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by January 2014, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at
the latest by January 2014.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
