ISO 3377-1:2011 specifies a method for determining the tear strength of leather using a single-edge tear. The method is sometimes described as a trouser tear. It is applicable to all types of leather.

Dieser Teil von ISO 3377 legt ein Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Weiterreißfestigkeit von Leder mithilfe eines
Einkanten-Weiterreißversuchs fest. Das Verfahren wird (engl.) gelegentlich als "trouser tear" bezeichnet. Es
ist für alle Leder anwendbar.

Ta del standarda ISO 3377 določa metodo za ugotavljanje pretržne trdnosti usnja s trganjem z enotno ostrino. Metodo se včasih opisuje kot trganje hlačne epruvete. Uporablja se za vse vrste usnja.

This document (EN ISO 3377-1:2011) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 289 “Leather”, the
secretariat of which is held by UNI, in collaboration with the International Union of Leather Technologists and
Chemists Societies.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2012, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at
the latest by June 2012.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
