Eurocode 3: Design of steel structures - Part 1-10: Material toughness and through-thickness properties
This prEN contains design rules for selecting and specifying steel materials that are resistant to failure by brittle fracture and lamellar tearing. Brittle fracture is characterized as failure of a structural element without significant plastic deformation. Lamellar tearing is characterized as failure of parent metal by delamination along planes of segregation in its microstructure as a result of excessive through-thickness strain.

(1) EN 1993-1-10 enthält eine Anleitung für die Auswahl der Stahlsorten im Hinblick auf Bruchzähigkeit und Eigenschaften in Dickenrichtung, wenn bei der Fertigung von Schweißkonstruktionen auf die Gefahr von Terrassenbruch zu achten ist.
(2) Abschnitt 2 gilt für Stähle S235 bis S690. Abschnitt 3 gilt nur für Stähle S235 bis S460.
ANMERKUNG Der Anwendungsbereich von EN 1993-1-1 ist auf Stähle S235 bis S460 begrenzt.
(3) Die Regelungen und Hinweise in den Abschnitten 2 und 3 gelten nur, wenn die Ausführung der Stahlkonstruktion nach EN 1090 erfolgt.

Les Etats Membres de l'UE et de l'AELE reconnaissent que les Eurocodes servent de documents de
référence pour les usages suivants :
.comme moyen de prouver la conformité des bâtiments et des ouvrages de génie civil aux exigences
essentielles de la Directive 89/106/CEE du Conseil, en particulier à l'Exigence Essentielle N°1 - Stabilité
et Résistance Mécanique - et à l'Exigence Essentielle N°2 - Sécurité en cas d'incendie ;
.comme base de spécification des contrats pour les travaux de construction et les services techniques
associés ;
.comme cadre d'établissement de spécifications techniques harmonisées pour les produits de
construction (EN et ATE).
Les Eurocodes, dans la mesure où les ouvrages eux-mêmes sont concernés par eux, ont un lien direct avec
les Documents Interprétatifs 2) auxquels il est fait référence dans l'Article 12 de la DPC, bien qu'ils soient de
nature différente de celle des normes de produits harmonisées 3) . En conséquence, les aspects techniques
des travaux effectués pour les Eurocodes nécessitent d'être pris en considération par les Comités Techniques
du CEN et/ou les Groupes de Travail de l'EOTA travaillant sur les normes de produits en vue d'obtenir une
complète compatibilité de ces spécifications techniques avec les Eurocodes.

Področje uporabe
(1)EN 1993-1-10 vsebuje navodila za izbiro materiala glede lomne žilavosti in lastnosti materiala po debelini pločevin varjenih elementov, kadar obstaja znatna nevarnost lamelarnega loma med izdelavo konstrukcij.
(2) Poglavje 2 se nanaša na kakovost jekel v razponu od S 235 do S 690.
Poglavje 3 velja le za jekla kakovosti S 235 do S 460.
OPOMBA:EN 1993-1-1 je omejen na uporabo jekel S235 do S460.
(3) Pravila in navodila, navedena v poglavjih 2 in 3, temeljijo na predpostavki, da bo konstrukcija izdelana v skladu z EN 1090

Standard SIST EN 1993-1-10 (sl), Evrokod 3: Projektiranje jeklenih konstrukcij – 1-10. del: Izbira
kakovosti jekla glede na žilavost materiala in lamelarni lom, 2005, ima status slovenskega standarda
in je istoveten evropskemu standardu EN 1993-1-10 (en), Eurocode 3: Design of steel structures –
Part 1-10: Material toughness and through-thickness properties, 2005.
NACIONALNI PREDGOVOR
Evropski standard EN 1993-1-10:2005 je pripravil tehnični odbor Evropskega komiteja za
standardizacijo CEN/TC 250 Konstrukcijski evrokodi, katerega tajništvo je v pristojnosti BSI.
Slovenski standard SIST EN 1993-1-10:2005 je prevod evropskega standarda EN 1993-1-10:2005. V
primeru spora glede besedila slovenskega prevoda v tem standardu je odločilen izvirni evropski standard v
angleškem jeziku. Slovensko izdajo standarda je pripravil tehnični odbor SIST/TC KON Konstrukcije.
ZVEZA Z NACIONALNIMI STANDARDI
V standardu SIST EN 1993-1-10 pomeni sklicevanje na evropske in mednarodne standarde, ki je
vključeno v ta evropski standard, sklicevanje na enakovredne slovenske standarde, npr.:

NACIONALNI DODATEK
V skladu s standardom EN 1993-1-10:2005 bo pripravljen nacionalni dodatek k standardu SIST EN
1993-1-10:2005. Nacionalni dodatek vsebuje alternativne postopke, vrednosti in priporočila za razrede
z opombami, ki kažejo, kje se lahko uveljavi nacionalna izbira. Zato bo nacionalni dodatek SIST EN
1993-1-10:2005/A101 vseboval nacionalno določene parametre, ki jih je treba uporabiti pri
projektiranju stavb in gradbenih inženirskih objektov, ki bodo zgrajeni v Republiki Sloveniji.
Nacionalna izbira je v EN 1993-1-10:2005 dovoljena v:
