Thermal insulating products for building applications - Determination of the apparent density
This European Standard specifies the equipment and procedures for determining the apparent overall density and the apparent core density under reference conditions. It is applicable to full size thermal insulating products and test specimens. This standard can also be applied to the individual layers of multi-layered products.

Diese Europäische Norm legt Prüfeinrichtungen und Verfahren zur Bestimmung der Rohdichte und der
Kern-Rohdichte unter definierten Bedingungen fest. Sie gilt für Wärmedämmstoffe in Liefermaßen und Probekörper. Diese Norm kann auch für die einzelnen Schichten von mehrschichtigen Produkten verwendet werden.

La présente Norme européenne spécifie l'équipement et les modes opératoires permettant de déterminer la
masse volumique globale apparente et/ou la masse volumique apparente à coeur, dans des conditions de
référence. Elle s'applique aux produits isolants thermiques en vraies dimensions et à leurs éprouvettes. La
présente norme peut également s'appliquer à chacune des couches d'un produit multicouche.

Ta evropski standard določa opremo in postopke za določanje dejanske skupne gostote in dejanske gostote izvrtka pod referenčnimi pogoji. Priporočamo uporabo toplotnoizolacijskih izdelkov in testnih vzorcev v naravni velikosti. Ta standard lahko uporabite pri posameznih plasteh večplastnih izdelkov.

This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical text or by endorsement, at the latest by September 2013, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at the latest by September 2013. Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights. This document supersedes EN 1602:1996.
