EN 1074-6:2008

Valves for water supply - Fitness for purpose requirements and appropriate verification tests - Part 6: Hydrants

This European Standard defines the minimum fitness for purpose requirements for hydrants to be used in, or connected to, water supply pipe systems, above or below ground (see EN 805), carrying water intended for human consumption.
This European Standard specifies the design requirements, the performance requirements, and the conformity assessment method for hydrants, whatever their type, materials and functions. Where hydrants can be used for fire fighting, irrigation or other function, additional requirements can be given in other standards.
This part of EN 1074 deals with the requirements applicable to both underground and pillar hydrants, in sizes DN 65 to DN 150, and PFA up to 16 bar.
This part of EN 1074 does not give requirements for the outlets or their interface with the hydrants, since they are subject to national standards.

Diese Europäische Norm legt die Mindestanforderungen an die Gebrauchstauglichkeit von Hydranten fest, die
in oberirdisch oder erdverlegten Rohrleitungssystemen für die Wasserversorgung verwendet werden oder mit
denen verbunden sind (siehe EN 805), die Wasser für den menschlichen Gebrauch führen.
Diese Europäische Norm legt die Anforderungen an die Konstruktion und die Gebrauchstauglichkeit sowie
das Konformitätsbewertungsverfahren für Hydranten fest, unabhängig von ihrer Bauart, den Werkstoffen und
ihren Aufgaben. Werden Hydranten für Feuerlöschzwecke, zur Bewässerung oder andere Aufgaben
verwendet, können zusätzliche Anforderungen in anderen Normen festgelegt sein.
Dieser Teil von EN 1074 behandelt Anforderungen, die für die Unterflur- und Überflurhydranten mit DN 65 bis
DN 150 und PFA bis 16 bar gelten.
Dieser Teil von EN 1074 enthält keine Anforderungen an die Abgänge oder deren Anschlussschnittstellen mit
den Hydranten, da diese nationalen Normen unterliegen.

La présente Norme européenne définit les prescriptions minimales d’aptitude à l’emploi des poteaux et bouches à
utiliser dans, ou connectés à, des réseaux d’alimentation en eau aériens ou enterrés (voir EN 805), véhiculant des
eaux destinées à la consommation humaine.
La présente norme spécifie les prescriptions de conception, les prescriptions de performance, ainsi que la méthode
d’évaluation de la conformité des poteaux et bouches, quels que soient leur type, leurs matériaux et leurs fonctions.
Des prescriptions supplémentaires peuvent être données dans d’autres normes lorsque les poteaux et bouches
sont utilisés pour la lutte contre l’incendie, l’irrigation ou toute autre fonction.
La présente partie de l’EN 1074 traite des prescriptions applicables à la fois aux bouches et aux poteaux, de
dimensions DN 65 à DN 150, et de PFA jusqu’à 16 bar.
La présente partie de l’EN 1074 ne spécifie aucune prescription relative aux orifices de sortie ou aux interfaces
avec les poteaux et bouches car ils relèvent de normes nationales.
