EN 141:1990

Respiratory protective devices - Gas filters and combined filters - Requirements, testing, marking

This European Standard refers to gas filters and combined filters for use as components in unassisted respiratory protective devices with the exception of escape apparatus and filtering facepieces.  Laboratory and practical performance tests are included for the assessment of compliance with the requirements.  Some filters complying with this standard may also be suitable for use with other types of respiratory protective devices and if so shall be tested and marked according to the appropriate European Standard.

Diese Europäische Norm bezieht sich auf Gasfilter und Kombinationsfilter als Einzelteile für Atemschutzgeräte ohne Luftversorgung; sie gilt nicht für Fluchtgeräte und filtrierende Atemanschlüsse. Laborprüfungen sind enthalten, um die Übereinstimmung mit den Anforderungen feststellen zu können. Einige Filter, die dieser Norm entsprechen, können auch für andere Arten von Atemschutzgeräten geeignet sein. Falls dies zutrifft, müssen sie entsprechend der zutreffenden Europäischen Norm geprüft und gekennzeichnet sein.
