This document specifies the characteristics of adjustable rod ends with self-aligning double row ball bearing with reduced internal radial clearance and threaded shank in corrosion resisting steel, designed to withstand only slow rotations and oscillations under load.
They consist of:
- a rod end comprising:
- circumferential groove to identify location;
- either seals or shields;
- an optional longitudinal groove for locking purpose;
- an inner ring with balls.
These rod ends are intended for use with flight control rods or rods for aerospace structures.
They are intended to be used in the temperature range: −54 °C to 150 °C.
However, being lubricated with the following greases:
- very high pressure grease, ester type (code A), operational range −73 °C to 121 °C; or
- very high pressure grease, synthetic hydrocarbons, general purpose (code B), operational range −54 °C to 177 °C (see EN 2067);
their field of application when lubricated with code A grease is limited to 121 °C.

Dieses Dokument legt die Eigenschaften von einstellbaren Ösenköpfen mit zweireihigem Pendel¬kugellager, mit reduzierter radialer Lagerluft und Gewindeschaft aus korrosionsbeständigem Stahl fest, die so ausgelegt sind, dass sie unter Belastung nur langsamen Dreh- und Kippbewegungen standhalten.
Sie bestehen aus
— einem Ösenkopf, der
— mit einer Ringnut zur Kontrolle der Position versehen ist,
— mit Dicht- oder Deckscheiben ausgerüstet ist,
— eine Längsnut zur Sicherung aufweisen kann und
— einem Innenring mit Kugeln.
Diese Ösenköpfe sind für Bediengestänge für Flugsteuerungen oder für Strukturstangen von Luftfahrzeugen vorgesehen.
Sie sind für den Einsatz in folgendem Temperaturbereich vorgesehen: −54 °C bis 150 °C.
Da sie jedoch mit folgenden Fetten geschmiert werden:
— Hochdruckfett auf Esterbasis (Kennbuchstabe A), Betriebstemperaturbereich −73 °C bis 121 °C; oder
— Hochdruckfett auf der Basis von synthetischen Kohlenwasserstoffen, zur allgemeinen Verwendung (Kennbuchstabe B), Betriebstemperaturbereich −54 °C bis 177 °C (siehe EN 2067),
ist ihr Anwendungsbereich bei Schmierung mit Fett mit dem Kennbuchstaben A auf 121 °C eingeschränkt.

Le présent document spécifie les caractéristiques des embouts réglables à roulement à rotule sur deux rangées de billes, à jeu interne radial réduit et tige filetée, en acier résistant à la corrosion, conçus pour supporter (en charge) uniquement des rotations lentes et des oscillations faibles.
Ils sont constitués :
- d'un corps d'embout comprenant :
- une gorge circulaire de repérage d'implantation ;
- soit des joints d'étanchéité, soit des flasques de protection ;
- éventuellement une gorge longitudinale de verrouillage ;
- d'une bague intérieure sur billes.
Ces embouts sont destinés aux bielles pour commandes de vol ou aux bielles de structures aérospatiales.
Ils sont destinés à être utilisés dans une plage de températures comprise entre −54 °C et 150 °C.
Cependant, comme ils sont lubrifiés avec les graisses suivantes :
- graisse extrême pression, type ester (code A), plage d'utilisation comprise entre −73 °C et 121 °C ; ou
- graisse extrême pression, type hydrocarbures synthétiques, usage général (code B), plage d'utilisation comprise entre −54 °C et 177 °C (voir l’EN 2067) ;
en cas de lubrification avec de la graisse code A, leur champ d'application est limité à 121 °C.
