Petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries - Rotary-type positive-displacement compressors - Part 1: Process compressors (ISO 10440-1:2007)

ISO 10440-1:2007 specifies requirements for dry and oil-flooded, helical-lobe rotary compressors used for vacuum or pressure or both in petroleum, petrochemical, and gas industry services. It is intended for compressors that are in special-purpose applications.
It is not applicable to general-purpose air compressors, liquid-ring compressors, or vane-type compressors.

L'ISO 10440-1:2007 spécifie les exigences relatives aux compresseurs rotatifs hélicoïdaux à lobes droits, à sec et plongés dans l'huile, utilisés dans les services d'industries du pétrole, de la pétrochimie et du gaz naturel pour créer des surpressions ou des dépressions ou les deux à la fois. Elle concerne les compresseurs à service spécial. Elle ne s'applique pas aux compresseurs à air standard, aux compresseurs à anneau liquide et aux compresseurs à palettes.

This document (EN ISO 10440-1:2007) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 118
"Compressors, pneumatic tools and pneumatic machines" in collaboration with Technical Committee
CEN/TC 12 “Materials, equipment and offshore structures for petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas
industries” the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR.
This European Standard shall be given the status of a national standard, either by publication of an identical
text or by endorsement, at the latest by June 2008, and conflicting national standards shall be withdrawn at
the latest by June 2008.
Attention is drawn to the possibility that some of the elements of this document may be the subject of patent
rights. CEN [and/or CENELEC] shall not be held responsible for identifying any or all such patent rights.
This document supersedes EN ISO 10440-1:2000.
