EN 140:1998

Respiratory protective devices - Half masks and quarter masks - Requirements, testing, marking

This European Standard specifies minimum requirements for half masks and quarter masks for use as part of respiratory protective devices, except escape apparatus and diving apparatus.  Laboratory and practical performance tests are included for the assessment of compliance with the requirements.

Diese Europäische Norm legt Mindestanforderungen für Halbmasken und Viertelmasken zum Gebrauch als Bestandteil von Atemschutzgeräten fest. Sie gilt nicht für Fluchtgeräte und Tauchgeräte. Laborprüfungen und praktische Leistungsprüfungen sind enthalten, um die Übereinstimmung mit den Anforderungen feststellen zu können.

La présente norme européenne spécifie les exigences minimales des demi-masques et quarts de masques destinés à être utilisés avec les appareils de protection respiratoire, à l'exception des appareils destinés à l'évacuation et à la plongée. Elle contient des essais en laboratoire et des essais pratiques de performance pour s'assurer de la conformité avec les exigences.
